Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

SoT Rep ("we", "us") operates sotrep.com, a lookup and reputation-tracking tool for Sea of Thieves players. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can request that it be removed.

Information we collect

How we use this information

We use this information to operate the lookup and reputation features of the site, secure user accounts, prevent abuse of the platform, and respond to support and removal requests. We do not sell your information to third parties.

Retention

We retain player and account data for as long as it's relevant to the site's purpose, or until a valid removal request is processed. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes and then purged.

Your rights and requesting removal

Most of what appears on SoT Rep for a given player — gamertag, connected accounts, social links, and similar details — is sourced from public data on Xbox Live, Discord, and Twitch. We periodically re-observe that data from those platforms, which means removing something from SoT Rep for good requires removing it at the source first:

  1. Delete or close the relevant account(s) directly with the platform(s) it came from. Microsoft/Xbox, Discord, and Twitch each provide their own account-deletion and GDPR data-request tools — see Microsoft's privacy dashboard, Discord support, or Twitch account settings for how to close an account on each platform.
  2. Once the source account is gone, submit a Data Removal Request through us so we can remove the now-orphaned record from our site.

Your identifier and reason are reviewed manually by our team before processing — no proof upload is required.

If the underlying account still exists on Xbox Live, Discord, or Twitch, our systems may re-observe and re-display the same public information even after a removal request is processed. Deleting the account at the source is what makes removal from SoT Rep permanent — we can't stop a platform from continuing to show data that's still public there.

In line with GDPR, requests are reviewed by our team and processed within 30 days, matching the acknowledgement shown on the request form.

Accounts with a confirmed-cheater flag based on inaccurate or outdated evidence may request a manual review of that flag.

Deleting your SoT Rep account

The removal process above is about player data we've observed from public sources — it's separate from your SoT Rep login (the account you use to sign in, post Community Notes, and manage friends). If you'd like to delete your SoT Rep login entirely, you can do so yourself at any time from your Profile page, under "Danger zone." This immediately deletes your password, linked Google/Discord/Steam connections, friends list, and saved searches. Reviews and reactions you've left on other players' profiles stay up for the community, but are reassigned to a generic "Deleted User" label instead of your username.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and Cloudflare Turnstile to protect account-related forms from automated abuse. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
